Mild steel also has a tendency to expand unevenly under heat, thus damaging the vessel over time. That is why stainless steel models come with a longer warranty than mild steel models.
The efficiency of deep fryers depends on the type of material they are made from. For instance, an aluminum fryer is best for chips as it heats up and cools down quickly, while a stainless steel fryer is ideal for frying meat as it retains heat better.
“Cold zones” are the latest development in deep fryer models. Cold zones are areas on the frying pan where larger food particles sink. This helps to keep the oil clean as the particles sink to where it is cooler and this prevents food burning and means oil can be reused. This feature also helps in quick cleaning of the appliance.
