BenQ LCD Monitors are display screens designed for use with personal computers, televisions or gaming consoles. BenQ was earlier known as Acer Peripherals, and is a multi-faceted Taiwanese company focusing on lifestyle products with strengths in mobile communications, visual display and network convergence technologies. BenQ offers cross-platform products including projectors, laptops, LCD displays, LCD TVs, digital cameras, mobile phones and computer peripherals.
BenQ has over 50 models across its series of LCD monitors and they include thin film transistor liquid crystal display (TFT-LCD) monitors and televisions. BenQ LCD monitors range from the entry level G series to the multi-functional E, X, and Z series targeted at gamers, and the more specialised V and R series targeted at designers. According to BenQ, the FP241W Z is the world’s first LCD monitor to incorporate PerfectMotion dynamic video processing technology. The PerfectMotion feature eliminates ghosting and motion blur around the screen edges enabling a superior viewing experience with all types of video content. This model uses a High Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI), has a widescreen design and supports video resolutions of up to 1080p HD. The screen panel height, horizontal positioning and orientation can be freely adjusted.
The lone model in the R series is specifically made for designers and has a mechanism for adjusting colour temperatures. Most LCD monitors claim to have a colour temperature that conforms to the 6500K standard. But they may vary as much as 3000K from this value, resulting in a severe loss of colour fidelity. The BenQ FP91R keeps colour temperatures within 200K of the configured value and provides 13 colour temperature settings, from 4000K to 10,000K in increments of 500K. By ensuring colour stability and accuracy, this feature allows users to adjust colour temperatures without affecting the fidelity of colour rendition.
For gamers, BenQ has the ultimate gaming LCD monitor – the V series FP241VW. This is a 24-inch widescreen, tilt adjustable monitor made specifically for hardcore gamers. Also available with a 19-inch widescreen, it provides six specialized display modes (Standard, Dynamic, Movies, Photos, Action Game and Racing Game) delivering the widest range of gaming experiences. The two dedicated gaming modes – Action Game and Racing Game – give you the power to configure settings according to your gaming requirements.
BenQ is constantly upgrading its range of LCD monitors with features like thin screens, designer colours and shaping, and multiple viewing modes available in a variety of models.
