Kingston Technology Company is based in Fountain Valley, California, and is the largest producer of Dynamic Random Access Memory (DRAM) modules in the world. The company invented the Single In-Line Memory Module (SIMM) chip. Kingston categorises its memory products based on their usage. System Specific Memory is designed for each particular brand of computer system i.e. memory especially for the Dell Dimension XPS. ValueRAM Memory is industry standard, generic memory manufactured to a particular specification i.e. 533MHz, DDR2, PC2-4200. HyperX Memory is high performance DDR3, DDR2 and DDR memory for PC enthusiasts and gamers. DataTravelers are USB flash memory drives for data-storage mobility. These are designed for consumer businesses, small businesses, enterprises and even for governments. The memory drives for governments are designed to be ultra-secure and waterproof with 100 per cent 256-AES hardware-based encryption of data and complex passwords for added protection.

CompactFlash (CF) cards are mainly for digital cameras, PDAs and MP3 players. Kingston offers three distinct lines of CompactFlash products. These durable, low-power cards can store loads of digital data and are available as standard CompactFlash, CompactFlash Elite Pro line, or the high performance CompactFlash Ultimate. These memory cards have a capacity ranging from 1 to 16GB and up to 133x write speeds.

Secure Digital Photo/Video SD cards are for digital cameras, PDAs, MP3 players and mobile phones. These are available in Amateur and Pro varieties with storage capacities of up to 16GB.

Secure Digital Mobile memory is formobile phones, media players, PDAs and GPS devices. MicroSD memory cards, Secure Digital cards, microSDHC cards and Secure Digital High Capacity cards are media readers used for data transfer between flash cards and PCs. These are available as USB microSD readers, MobileLite, DataTraveller readers and Media reader. Specialty Build Memory is ustom memory designed for Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs).

Kingston’s products are found in almost all memory devices and the company’s manufacturing and logistics facilities are located in the US, the UK, Ireland, Malaysia, China, and Taiwan. It has products in processor upgrades, networking and storage. Kingston’s sister company, Advanced Validation Labs Inc. (AVL), provides memory validation services.
