Nokia has two handset models in the 6500 series. They are the Nokia 6500 Classic and the Nokia 6500 Slide.
The Nokia 6500 Classic is a slim, sharp and stylish smartphone. It features quad-band GSM/EDGE and dual-band UMTS support along with the latest edition of Nokia’s S40 user interface. In addition, the Nokia 6500 Classic is a very sturdy and a solid handset which has always been a characteristic feature of Nokia handsets.

The Nokia 6500 Slide is the other model in the Nokia 6500 series. The Nokia 6500 Slide is different from the Classic as it has a slider “form factor”, as the name suggests. The Nokia 6500 Slide also features a body made of stainless steel and a digital camera with auto-focus. The Nokia 6500 Slide camera has a dual-LED flash and it uses superior quality Carl Zeiss lenses. The well-designed Nokia 6500 Slide weighs is light-weight and hence is quite convenient to carry around. When fully open, the handset is only 30mm long.
The Nokia 6500 Slide is well equipped with all the applications of the latest smartphones. These include timers, alarms, a calendar, a task list, a calculator as well as a notes program. The Nokia 6500 Slide is compatible with a Windows PC that has MS Outlook. The phone is connected with the PC through the Nokia PC Suite application. This application is given with the handset. You can now connect your phone to the PC for updating your task lists or synchronizing your calendar with your appointments and important dates. This handset also features games such as Rally 3D Snake III. There is 30MB of space in the Nokia 6500 Slide and the recently launched edition of this handset also contains a 256MB MicroSD memory card.
