Adam Richard Sandler is a renowned American actor well known for his comic roles in films such as Billy Madison, Happy Gilmore and Big Daddy. Born on 9 September, 1966, in Brooklyn, New York, to Judy and Stanley Sandler, he was found to possess comic abilities very early in life. He nurtured this talent by performing on campus while still studying at New York University. Encouraged by his brother, he took up performing in clubs until spotted by comedian Dennis Miller. On Miller’s recommendation, Sandler got a job working for Saturday Night Live as a writer. He soon became a featured player and made a mark by performing original songs for the show.
