Power Rangers is a popular action–adventure children’s TV show. Adapted from the Japanese tokusatsu Super Sentai series, the Power Rangers series is heavily altered in story and design to suit the Western audience. Although, the series features many modifications, some scenes and sequences have been retained and dubbed. The series that first started the franchise was Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, which was aired on the Fox network for three seasons. Created by Haim Saban, the first franchise was produced by Saban Entertainment between 1993 and 2001. The Power Rangers franchise is currently owned by Walt Disney Entertainment. With the success of the series, it aired on several Disney-owned networks including Toon Disney, ABC Kids and Jetix channels.

The Power Rangers are fictional characters donned in a brightly coloured battle suits and helmets with opaque visors. The Rangers are sometimes named after their respective colour like Red Ranger or Blue Ranger. They have the ability to morph from an ordinary person into a superhero with a flash of light, possessing superhuman strength, endurance and combat abilities. The main goal of the Power Rangers is to protect the world from evil forces, villains and monsters with the use of their giant metamorphosing robots, known as Zords. The Rangers may also combine these giant robots to form the Megazord to fight greater villains and monsters.
Some of the popular seasons include Mighty Morphin Alien Rangers, Power Rangers: Zeo, Power Rangers: Lightspeed Rescue, Power Rangers: Ninja Storm, Power Rangers: Dino Thunder and Power Rangers: Mystic Force. All of the series gained huge popularity among kids and teenagers.
