Wii is designed for backward compatibility with the Nintendo GameCube and allows you to import and play games from the Nintendo DS or the GameCube. The Wii has a built-in internet connection and works even without power supply. The console offers multi-player options through the Internet. You can also download Wii games from the Internet. The Wii console also has parental control facility to regulate what children can access.

Even though the graphics on the Wii are not spectacular, its wireless controller makes it unique. It is seen as a game console that promotes physical movement of the player. It has attracted a huge following since its launch in 2006 and has managed to create its own market.
